MATERIAL & HARDWARE

Each item you purchase is handmade with the greatest of care taken to ensure safety and longevity. Please inspect your product upon receiving and contact us if there are any concerns. It is also good practice to inspect all gear frequently, to ensure all components are in good working order, including the Chicago screws.

Like anything, the better care you take of your products, the longer they will last!

BioThane®:

All items are made using Standard BioThane®.

Biothane is a brand of coated webbing that's often used for dog collars and leashes. It's a leather-like material, made from polyester webbing with a coating of TPU or PVC. Biothane is known for being waterproof, durable, and easy to clean, making it perfect for pet gear.

Other features of Biothane include:

Stinkproof: doesn't retain odour
Flexible: retains the flexible feel in cold temperatures

Strength: tested break strength of around 1000 pounds per inch of width
Antibacterial: Mold-resistant and resists breakdown and fading from UV light

Biothane can handle a lot, but it is not meant for chewing.

Hardware:

We currently use a variety of hardware material, including nickel plated, brass plated, powder coated, brass and stainless. We exclusively use Chicago screws for fastening and Loctite to ensure security. Please note, all hardware will wear over time, which can lead to a change in color, scratches, etc, but this does not impact the durability. When not in use, find somewhere to hang your items, this will ensure they stay dry and clean and are out of the way of foot traffic.

Balls:

Ball tugs are made using Eva Foam, Chew King Fetch or Chew King Glow balls, as indicated in product listing.

Ruff Land Accessories/Stopper Upgrade:

Structural items are made from PETG and decorative items are made with PLA filament. Filament type will be specified in product listing.
